We contract with Certified Professional Dog Trainers who are committed to Positive Reinforcement methods to help dog guardians achieve the best outcomes for their dogs. Our independent contractors receive competitive base pay with additional incentives for achieving specialty certifications for behavior modification and separation anxiety.
Additional Pay Incentives for:
- Working Nights and Weeks
- Seeing 5 or more clients weekly
- Travel outside a standard radius
- Day Training for Behavior Modification

The Canine Solutions Apprenticeship Program is designed to support and empower the next generation of Positive Reinforcement Dog Trainers. Students who undertake the apprenticeship program will prepare to pass the Certified Professional Dog Trainer- Knowledge Assessed test. Intro to Dog Training
Level One is designed to give students a comprehensive introduction to the world of animal handling and training. You’ll meet with a Certified Professional Dog Trainer for (4) 1-on-1 private lessons to gain practical knowledge about:
- Management Strategies
- Clicker training mechanics
- Leash handling skills
- Canine Body Language
- Learning Theory
Students will also have the option to shadow existing private training appointments for up to 8 visits. Basic mastery of common training tools will prepare the student for eligibility for contracting opportunities such as marketing rounds and event.

Certification Prep
Apprentices prepare for the challenges of working with the variety of personalities they may encounter. In addition to basic dog training skills, you’ll meet with a Certified Professional Dog Trainer for (8) 1-on-1 private lessons to gain practical knowledge about how to:
- Communicate effectively
- Set realistic and timely goals
- Troubleshoot common training roadblocks
Students will also have the option to shadow existing private training appointments for up to 8 visits. Successful Completion of the Certification prep will allow the student to take on Contracting projects such as boarding school training sessions and presentations.
